Acknowledgments

I want to acknowledge all the friends and collogues that I have gained along the way while attending Antioch University, Seattle. They have been integral to my growth as a clinician as well as a supportive pillar that I have continuously leaned upon during school and personal struggles. Then, I’d like to give immense credit to professors and directors that have helped me keep going, as well as my therapist and psychiatrist for keeping me stable during rough times, and my cat Timmy for always being my animal support.

Hello and welcome!

This is my Art Therapy, DBT and ETC toolkit! For my culminating master’s project, I developed a trauma-centered toolkit designed to support art therapists working with children who have experienced trauma.

This toolkit was inspired from my experience at Antioch University as a student, as well as working with Kids and Families at Behavioral Health Resources in Olympia, Washington.

The toolkit compiles worksheets, clinical resources, and art therapy directives that integrate the Expressive Therapies Continuum (ETC) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills. The goal of this project was to create clinically grounded interventions that offer both therapeutic insight and practical coping skills that clients can practice outside of sessions.

To maximize accessibility, the toolkit was developed as a website. This format allows art therapists and clients to easily access resources, educational materials, and art therapy directives designed to support trauma-informed care.
